Ross Battaglia; Man of the Year

September 30, 2007

Okay, it wasn’t man of the year, but he was selected as one of Hawaii’s Top High-Tech Leaders of 2007 by the Pacific Technology Foundation. He was recognized at a dinner held at Sheraton Waikiki Hotel on September 30, 2007. The dinner was held in a “Taste of Honolulu” type format with different food booths setup instead of a formal dinner or buffet. Awards were presented by State of Hawaii Lt. Governor James R. “Duke” Aiona, Jr., City and County of Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hanneman, and US Congresswoman Mazie K. Hirono.

“I am extremely proud to have been chosen for this award. It is very important to me as a Businessman to have received this award for my company and it is personally satisfying to have received it.” states Ross Battaglia.

The following are Ross’ comments as published in the October/November 2007 issue of Pacific News Bytes on where he sees Hawaii’s technology industry in five years and how he has helped created this vision.

“Hawaii’s Technology industry in five years will be one of the country’s leaders in server and storage virtualization and consolidation of the IT infrastructure. As technology grows and expands, faster, cheaper and more reliable server and storage products will become available. Hawaii businesses for the most part are smaller than many of the other states and will take advantage of this new trend in virtualizing their IT infrastructure due to the reductions afforded in space, and power consumption as well as improvements in the overall utilization. Our company will take a lead in offering Hawaii businesses design and consultative services to architect solutions around these technologies and then provide them with the hardware, software and series to implement.”
